I’m a musician. I’ve been in the music industry for over 25 years.

A few years ago I started cutting my own performances into short videos. My channel went from 6,000 to 30,000 subscribers.

Then people asked me to do the same with their footage. Trade association conferences. Plant tours. Cast in Steel, a steel casting competition for students.

Here’s what I learned. Most organizations don’t have a content problem. They have hours of video in the wrong shape.

So that’s the job. Find the part people will watch. Post it. Do it again next week.
